The problem

CSV from PDF is never as simple as it sounds

A CSV should be the simplest export format — just comma-separated values. But when your source is a PDF, the commas in narrations break columns, dates come through in inconsistent formats, and amounts lose their sign indicators.

01

Broken columns

Narrations with commas (like "NEFT-ACME CORP, MUMBAI") split into extra columns and shift everything after them.

02

Inconsistent dates

DD/MM/YY, DD-MM-YYYY, MM/DD/YY — different banks use different formats, and your ERP expects one specific format.

03

Missing sign indicators

Credits and debits need to be clearly marked — either as separate columns or with +/- prefixes — or your import breaks.

Questions

Before you export

What does the CSV look like?

Standard CSV with headers: Date, Narration, Amount, Type (Credit/Debit). Dates in DD/MM/YYYY format, amounts with +/- prefixes, narrations properly quoted to handle internal commas. UTF-8 encoded.

Can I customize the CSV format?

The default layout works for most imports. If you need a specific delimiter, date format, or column order for your ERP, let us know and we'll configure it.

Does it handle multi-currency statements?

Yes. If your statement has transactions in multiple currencies, each row preserves the original currency and amount. We can also add a currency column if needed.

Can I batch export multiple statements?

Yes. Upload multiple statements and export as a single CSV with all transactions, or as separate files per statement.

Is my data safe?

Files are encrypted in transit and at rest, never used to train any model, and can be permanently deleted by you at any time.
